The possibilities

Yikes, I've been so busy. And that's not even taking into account the holiday hub bub.

So I had such a hard time finding work. And NOW options are overlapping and stressing me out worse than ever.

Well the one job I really wanted.. I'm at the top of the candidates, I found out. They offered it to someone. But they should know Monday if they'll be taking it. So the Director will call me Monday. But why wouldn't the person NOT take it? You know? So tough luck on that one I think.

The other issue is this..
I got hired for part time Children's Librarian job at a place that's an hour from where I live now. Its only 12 hours a week. Probably 2 days a week for 6 hours. Not great pay. The good thing is while I'm up at the library job, I can spend the nights at a pal's place. Saves me some trips. (but they have a lot of cats. I'm really allergic to cats.. This I see as not being a good thing. I have no health insurance for good allergy meds.)

At the moment I'm planning on keeping the part time job I have now while I work at the library. It'll be the only way to keep bringing in enough money to pay for gas and bills (read student loans). But they way it looks now.. I'll be working 2 days at one job and 5 at the other (and those will be graveyard/over night shifts). Leaving me without any time off.

And I'll be super dead on my feet i think. I'm not sure How long I can survive it. But I think I'll have to do it for as long as I can possibly stand it. The Children's librarian job itself isn't great only because of the pay and lack of any benefits. But it is a foot in the door, a chance for networking and experience to add on my resume.

STILL... I'll pray and hope against all odds that the job I really wanted calls and says they turned us down. Will you work for us?

The other thing... A friend of mine from high school i recently connected with is encouraging me to apply at T-Mobile, where she works. She's worked there for about 2 years now I think. She loves it. She's been promoted twice and had 2 raises. And the starting pay is great. (Over $12 an hour, plus benefits and all kinds of perks and incentives, etc). I'm tempted by this because it isn't far from me. And It would be full time. I want to work in a Library so badly. I don't think I could work at the Library and T-Mobile. My friend says you need to be flexible when it comes to hours. I'm not really. But I'm off this coming Monday so I'll take a chance and apply anyway.

ON TOP of all this. A town about 15 minutes away is hiring. I handed in a resume last week. When I can figure out who I need to call about it, I will see if they're interested in hiring me. I may just not have enough experience for their taste at all. So that one is unlikely... But it would be perfect because it is CLOSE. And I'm very familiar with the town, the type of activities.. the population... If I land an interview for that, I'm wondering WHEN I'll even have a chance to set one up. Maybe they've already hired someone?

I made mistakes. I know what they were... I can be smarter now about what I do from here on out. But at the moment, I'm a little stuck.

If I did get hired by T-Mobile though, I might just go into that full throttle for a while until I can get my Master's degree. I'd like T-Mobile better than where I am now. I don't have to handle money. And If a customer is pissed, I won't have to look them in the eye. That's the worst part. Plus, working at a gas station is potentially very dangerous. They get robbed a lot. And my area has had the local Wawas and big chains hit up recently. I'm really nervous.
